Volunteer Opportunities

Church Liaison:  You can act as a contact person keeping your church aware of VowsToKeep activities and needs.  Liaisons provide information to their church for our marriage conferences, date nights, and ministry needs.  Commitment: One hour four to eight times per year.

Prayer Partners: Come to VowsToKeep and pray for the ministry during regularly scheduled prayer vigils.  Please respond if you are interested in joining us in prayer for the marriages and families that are struggling in central Ohio. Commitment: One hour four to eight times per year.

Professional Service Volunteer:  If you feel a passion to for Biblical marriages but don’t know how you as an attorney or a human resource professional can help?  Reach out to us and we can discuss how your experience might fit a critical need of VowsToKeep!

Professional Skilled Tradesmen Volunteer:  To provide guidance and to provide hands on leadership for less experienced volunteers, VowsToKeep needs skilled tradesmen in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, excavation/dirt work and other specialized construction areas. Commitment: The specific tasks of volunteers will vary depending on the needs and the different phases of construction work.

Construction Team Member: VowsToKeep has initiatives for building local marriage retreat facilities to provide benefits for the marriages of the communities we work in. Construction volunteers work on structures for ministry use, renovate existing buildings all to improve the ability to serve marriages in need. Construction projects are undertaken to support the ministry including​​ conference space, office space, kitchen, bathrooms, cabins and recreational facilities for couples coming to VowsToKeep retreats. Commitment: The specific tasks of volunteers will vary depending on the needs and the different phases of construction work. 

Board Member: The Board is the spiritual covering for VowsToKeep.  It is directly responsible for the spiritual and financial well being of the ministry.  They oversee the director and chart the course of  the ministry.  Attendance at monthly board meetings, participation in fundraising events is required.  Also required is a completed Leadership Covenant or are in process.  Must have volunteered in a significant capacity in a ministry for at least two years, preferably in a leadership or coaching role.  Must be known and approved for consideration by a staff member, a member of VowsToKeeps Leadership team, and/or a member of the Board.  Commitment: Must have capacity, flexibility and availability to serve in the role. The time requirement varies greatly month to month, but the minimum includes monthly meetings, annual retreat, and committee responsibilities.

Committee Member: Too busy to volunteer on a regular basis but interested in being involved?  We need volunteers who can help plan, organize and promote special events such as the VowsToKeep Banquet, marriage conferences, and date nights.
