The Bible for Marriage Part 2 The Lord’s Prayer

The Bible for Marriage – Part 2 – The Lord’s Prayer for Marriage

Thank you for caring about your marriage! We are excited to continue in Part 2 of this series…

The Bible for Marriage

In this broadcast: We’ll remember that prayer is relationship…We’ll gain confidence in praying so we can begin to pray with our husband or wife and not feel strange or awkward about it…We’ll break down the Lord’s Prayer, phrase by phrase to discover how praying like Jesus taught can DEEPLY IMPACT YOUR MARRIAGE.

Matthew 6:9-13

“This, then, is how you should pray:

“Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.”

This prayer is a RESTART

Praying this prayer thoughtfully and from your heart as an individual and as a couple is like restarting your computer. Updating the files and apps to do what they were originally intended to do. We were not designed to go into sleep or hibernation mode. Don’t choose that setting.

Instead, make this the prayer of your life, of your marriage.

Prayer, in essence, freshens your relationship with God and helps you evaluate what you believe – about yourself, about your life, about your marriage, about God.

We pray to praise God. We pray to know God’s will. We pray to ask for forgiveness. We pray to remind ourselves who God is and who we are in Him. We pray to intercede for other people. We pray to know God.

Let’s start the conversation…
