Who we are

Who is VowsToKeep?

VowsToKeep as a ministry is growing with new hands joining the volunteer team in the service of marriages.   This is God’s ministry and we are all grateful to be a tool in his hands.

David & Tracy Sellars started ministering to marriages over 10 years before formally starting VowsToKeep Ministries in 2012 as a response to God’s calling on their lives. They are passionate about bringing the truth of God’s Word to today’s marriages. David and Tracy do this through many means, including numerous marriage conferences, speaking at men’s and women’s retreats, marriage coaching together with couples, and a weekly 1/2 hour marriage radio program played on FM Radio across Ohio. Seeing couples’ hearts turn toward Christ and each other is their greatest joy.

David was born and raised in northern Wyoming and graduated from Engineering school in 2001. He currently works as a Product Manager for a growing company who provides advanced solutions to healthcare. David has a natural ability to hear people’s hearts and speak straight to the issue using the Word of God to point people to Christ and the solutions God provides. His discerning yet understanding nature make him a very easy person to talk to and relate with. He enjoys speaking at conferences and men’s groups to bring them God’s Word in the area of family and marriage.

Tracy was raised in the Black Hills of South Dakota and graduated with a teaching degree in 2000. She currently works at a non-profit Christian radio station, ShineFM 88.9 in West Central Ohio as an on-air radio announcer. Tracy enjoys speaking on the radio, at women’s conferences, and at marriage seminars, along with meeting with women one-on-one to encourage them in their marriages and lives.

Mike & Cheri Wiseman, high school sweethearts, are native to Ohio, but have lived in five states and on two other continents. As they look forward to celebrating their 30th anniversary, Mike and Cheri are thankful for the three children God has given them, two of whom are married. They are grateful for the recent title of grandparents to their bio!  As a military family, and having lived abroad, the Wiseman’s have seen the stress on families and have experienced some of it themselves with Mike deploying two times in the Middle east. God has been so faithful in meeting needs during all the transitions and season of life. These experiences have given Mike and Cheri a heart to use the gifts God has given which include equipping and encouraging other believers through hospitality and mentoring.

Mike and Cheri

Another gift God has given is a love of renovation. Mike and Cheri have renovated a Century house and are in the process of renovating another. Mike has been a part of organized work weekends for many years and has seen the benefit of mentoring while working towards a common goal, while Cheri and the other wives supported the work effort by providing hardy food. Mike’s talents derive from necessity, years in the military and working in Process Engineering. He is enjoying using these skills with VowsToKeep as Project Manager for the Promise Suite.  In addition, Mike and Cheri are beginning training soon to become certified with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors to assist couples seeking help from VowsToKeep.

Bill and Janet Howard have long- served their church family, Bill as elder and Janet as women’s Bible teacher at Grace Brethren Church where they reside in Marysville, Ohio. For many years they have served to disciple and counsel those seeking to understand the truth of God’s word, but they specifically have an abiding passion to see Biblically strong marriages and families in today’s culture.

This passion comes from personally experiencing the hope and truth of God’s word which restored their own lives and broken marriage. They have been blessed to see their entire family come to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord. For this reason and purpose, God has called them to join the VowsToKeep ministry in this season of their lives.

In addition to years of direct counseling experience, Janet and Bill are pursuing training and certification with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors.  Life skills teaching and coaching are passions for the Howards across an array of different subjects.

As a couple they have many other gifts that contribute to VowsToKeep ranging from advertising/marketing to banquet/ special-event coordinating and catering.
