As demand for our counseling services continues to grow, we're seeking a unique and dedicated husband and wife team to join us as part-time Biblical Marriage Counselors.

You and your spouse will serve as a cohesive counseling unit, each bringing your distinct strengths to sessions. While one may lead discussions, the other might excel at documentation and ensuring focus, creating a dynamic and effective team. This role is ideal for those who feel their spiritual gifts are underutilized and are eager to apply them directly in a professional ministry setting.

Our systematic, mission-driven approach to counseling provides clear roadmaps for couples, fostering measurable progress and genuine hope. You'll have the privilege of witnessing God use marital challenges to draw individuals closer to Him, often seeing profound life changes as a direct result of your work.

We provide comprehensive mentorship, process guidance, and supervision to ensure your success. While we are a leading faith-based counseling organization in Central Ohio, our podcast's reach across the US means that remote counseling is a common and supported option.

What You'll Do

As a Part-Time Counseling Couple, you will:

• Provide competent Christian Marriage Counseling consistent with the Bible and VowsToKeep's mission, vision, and values.

• Manage a caseload of approximately two counselee couples at a time, committing 8-14 hours per week with a consistent weekly schedule.

• Collaborate with our Communications Coordinator for scheduling and client intake/off-ramp processes.

• Prepare for and lead 1.5 to 2-hour counseling sessions, including creating tailored homework assignments.

• Document session notes to ensure seamless cross-coverage when needed.

• Occasionally provide guidance to couples outside of scheduled sessions for urgent questions.

• Meet with counselees' local pastoral staff to debrief on progress and facilitate long-term accountability within their church community.

• Conduct long-term check-in calls with past counselees to offer ongoing support and prayer.

• Optional: Based on your interest and talents, opportunities may arise to provide instruction at larger events or represent VowsToKeep in the community.

Who You Are

We are looking for a husband and wife team who are:

• The Ideal Couple is a Husband and wife with over 20 years of marriage together who is willing to use the ups and downs of their history as a testimony to what God can do. 

• Faithful, Obedient, Servants of Christ with a teachable heart. Your personal testimony and a letter of recommendation from your local pastor attesting to your spiritual maturity and Godly character are essential.

• Experienced in church-related ministry (preferred).

• Certified or actively pursuing certification with the Association of Christian Biblical Counselors (ACBC). While this is a significant advantage, we encourage dedicated couples without this training to apply if they are committed to making the investment in certification, which VowsToKeep will support.

• Able to demonstrate a strong understanding of core Biblical concepts.

• Passionate about equipping others with a Biblical worldview and discipling them in the message of Christ.

• Committed to integrating faith, spirituality, and Biblical knowledge into the practice of counseling.

• Models of Christ-like character and conduct, demonstrating ongoing personal growth.

• In full support of the VowsToKeep mission, core values, and statement of faith.

• Comfortable with remote video/meeting tools, as remote work is common. Applicants in Central Ohio are preferred, but not required.
